D&D is my standard auto repair place now. No problems, good advice, reliable, fair. Rates high on the integrity scale as well as on skill and timeliness.

Was VERY pleased with the service. I thought there was something wrong with my car because of the dashboard light that was on. They checked and double checked, and assured me all I needed was an oil change. WHEW! *huge sigh of relief* It is so rare to find a mechanic who does not try to rip me off. Will definitely be going back to D&D in the future.

I took my car to D & D Automotive Repair for a second opinion. I was told my car needed over $700 in mechanical work to pass inspection by another automotive place in Ashburn after they had already told me I need a $1000 worth of work the week that I did and paid for. D & D did a full run down of the car and found nothing wrong with the car. They were friendly, helpful, and HONEST... the car passed inspection without any issues..

I love these guys! They identified the problem very quickly and repaired it in one day, which saved me the inconvenience of being without a car for too long. I really trust their judgment and they seemed extremely knowledgable and honest. Plus, they are a small business and I like giving my money to small businesses vs huge corporations. I am a loyal customer and will bring my car to D&D for all of my future automotive needs!!!

Got fed up with the local Toyota dealership quoting me outrageous prices and trying to up-sell me add-ons I didn't need. Heard great things about D&D from friends and neighbors so I took a little walk over from Windy City Red Hots with dog in hand to check the place out. Talked to Doug, the owner, about my Camry needing a 60,000 mile service. Doug quoted me a reasonable price for the service that covered every NECESSARY service the dealership was scheduled to do. At one point, while looking up the list of services, he chuckled and said Toyota scheduled some additional services that I likely didn't need that would have tripled the price - you know, those RECOMMENDED services. Doug was able to get me in the next day to my delight and saved me some money off dealership prices. He took a look at all of the other dealer "recommendations" and did not think any were necessary for my car at that time. He was honest about my brakes having about a year left and instead of surprising me with a huge bill, has given me the time to save some money for the job. Thanks to Doug and his team for honest, prompt, and professional service.

12 check-ins As a woman I like going to a place where the mechanics don't try to BS me or treat me like an idiot, which is a hard place to find. I had a 20 year old Jeep as my first car and drove it for 15 years, I'm not saying I am a mechanic, but I do know one or maybe two things about cars. Have had my 4Runner for 10 years with 175K miles on it, nearly trouble free. I used to take it to the dealership in Frederick because they had a great rep, but a couple years ago they took a dive in service and I haven't found anyone I particularly trust, until this week. The Runner has, off-and-on, had a strange hesitation in it for several years. Numerous visits to mechanics, numerous computer checks and various repair attempts on multiple parts have all failed to pinpoint, or fix, the problem. One day at D&D Automotive and it's fixed, a simple throttle position sensor that was just crappy enough to be annoying but never show up on computer checks and of course never when the mechanic drove it. This shop is the real deal, mechanics, not just part-swappers. Thanks Doug, for fixing my car, and not treating me like a moron in the process.
